A fast track construction project with a 20 week programme
The building is located next to the Pollyfield Community Centre in Bideford, North Devon. Funding for the project was secured by an award from the Sport England Inspired Facilities Programme – a legacy initiative following the 2012 London Olympics. In addition, Torridge District Council allocated funding along with the Bridge Trust, Town Council and the Boxing Club itself.
The construction of this single-storey, steel-framed building provides a main space for the boxing ring, storage and WC facilities.
The next stage for the club is to build a mezzanine to create an upstairs gym and fitness area.
